About Kilala Kawaii Shop
It all started in 2014, two Japanese ladies from Tokyo and Kyoto decided to bring Japanese POP culture to Finland.
Kilala.fi is an online shop based in Finland where you will find KAWAII (cute) items mainly from Japan. We deliver KAWAII to your home quickly and reliably by Finnish postal service company Posti. As a payment method, we accept credit and debit cards as well as Finnish web banking transactions. For more details, please see our Terms and Conditions below.
Information in our webshop is mainly in Finnish, but we are happy to deliver orders anywhere in Europe. Please see the instructions for ordering below and don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance. We are glad to help!
How to place an order?
1. Choose your favourite products
Please enjoy browsing through our product catalogue for your favourite products. On the product page, choose quantity, possible product variation and click add to cart button (“Lisää Ostoskoriin”)。
2. Review your order at Shopping Cart
When you are finished with shopping, click “shopping cart” icon to review your order. At this point you can check the shipping fee to your country by clicking “Laske toimituskulut” and choosing your country from the drop down menu. Country names are in Finnish. You can refer for example this site for translation. You may also edit your order at this point. When you are happy with your order, click “Siirry kassalle” to proceed to the checkout page.
3. Fill in the order details at the checkout
Fill in your details to the checkout form and review your final order. Please see the picture on the right for more detailed translation of the checkout form. Once you’ve accepted the Terms and Conditions check box, you can submit your order (“Lähetä tilaus”) and proceed to the payment page.
4. Complete payment
You will be directed through a secure connection to the payment page. Please complete the payment with payment method of your choice. You can see more details about the accepted payment methods in our Terms and Conditions below.
5. Wait for your order to arrive
We will process and ship your order as soon as possible. You will receive and order confirmation (in Finnish) through email. If for some reason you are not happy with your order, please see the Terms and Conditions for details about product returns.
Terms and Conditions
Placing an order
Orders can be placed using web shop’s product cart and check out functions. Please see more detailed instructions above. You must be 18 years old or over to place an order at kilala.fi.
Accepted payment methods are credit and debit cards and Finnish online banking transctions.
Debit and credit card payments’ service provider is Stripe. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard ja American Express. Credit card information is delivered to payment service provider over a secure connection (SSL). Credit card information is not stored to our web shop’s database at any point. If Customer wants, card information can be saved securely to Stripe’s server for easier access with future payments.
Finnish online banking transctions are provided by Paytrail Oyj. For more information, please see Paytrail’s website.
Products and shipping fees are paid during checkout, We don’t dispatch unpaid orders.
In our web shop, you can purchase Kilala gift cards that are eligible for use at www.kilala.fi or at our shop in Helsinki. Gift cards are based on balance. You can use gift card balance as a payment method at one or several purchases.
You can purchase gift card for yourself or as a gift for your friend. Gift card is an electric coupon code that will be delivered to the email address* which you registered during checkout process. Gift card will be valid for one year starting from the date of purchase.
If you return a product originally purchased with gift card, refund will be returned to the original gift card balance.
*Please note that gift card email will be in Finnish as well as all the other order confirmation emails sent from kilala.fi.
Product notifications and reservations
You can place an order for products that are in stock (“varastossa”). If you are interested in a product that is out of stock (“varasto loppu”), you can subscribe to a product notification and you will be informed by email when stock is filled. Subscribing to a notification is not same as reservation. If you’d wish to make a binding reservation for a product that is currently out of stock, please contact us through email email@example.com .
Shipping fees include both postal and handling charge.

- Shipping fee is fixed (12,00 €) for all orders
- We can deliver orders to countries inside Euope. You can find out availability for delivery to your country by choosing a country from the drop down menu on shopping cart or checkout page. For more information, please see How to place an order section above.
- Shipping fees depend on the size of your order and destination country. You can see the actual shipping fee for your order at shopping cart or checkout page after choosing the country.
- For international orders, we use postal parcel service provided by Finnish postal service company Posti.
We will process new orders every weekday. Once your order is confirmed we strive to deliver your order as soon as possible. Please see Posti’s website for more details related to shipping time to your country.
If you are not happy with the product, you can return the product within 14 days after the purchase date. You can only return the product if product is not used and it is in the original package.
You can return your order by sending it back to the return address. Please fill in return form (palautuslomake) which was included in the package.
Mana Japan Oy
Inside Finland, you can return your order for free of charge by taking it back to any postal office. For international deliveries, Kilala doesn’t cover the costs of returning the order.
Please notice that we will not accept returns on gift card purchases or products on sale. If you are returning a product that was paid by gift card, we will refund the balance on your original gift card.
